The disputes in the South China Sea, one of the world's busiest sea lanes, have long been regarded as an Asian flashpoint and a delicate fault line in the rivalry between the United States and China in the region. The tense confrontation on Saturday at the Second Thomas Shoal was the latest flare-up in the long-seething territorial conflicts involving China, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan and Brunei. WG has to get months of data on live after a new ship release to determine how it is balanced and change accordingly.MANILA, Philippines (AP) - The Philippine military on Sunday condemned a Chinese coast guard ship's "excessive and offensive" use of a water cannon to block a Filipino supply boat from delivering new troops, food, water and fuel to a Philippine-occupied shoal in the disputed South China Sea. Just look at some of the OP or UP ships that make it to live and need to be rebalanced some. Do you really think everyone on the PTS brings their A game when stats dont matter etc etc.? This is why that testing will only take things so far. This is why some balancing on the live server will be needed. Skills have been rebalanced on live after being patched in and countless ships have been tweaked after release but none are on the scale of this change. I do think it needs another month before it is brought to live but I'm not going to say the sky is falling or some of the other hysterics I've seen posted by some players. We have never had a change this large to the basic gameplay so hence it needs more testing than other changes. Players told WG before, they just didn't bother to change it and pushed it to live instead, claiming they didn't have enough data, which is the kind of lying that keeps me from believing what they say elsewhere.
